In collaboration with the Dean's Office of the University of Minnesota Law School, the Center conducts the Law and Leadership Conversation series. This event provides an opportunity for law students to gain insights into the experience of accomplished leaders with juris doctor degrees from business, government, non-profit organizations or academia. The setting is informal, over lunch, and the focus is on providing insights as to the variety of leadership and management positions that lawyers and people with legal training can give, as well as how legal training can be an asset and a hinderance in collaborating with others to drive change and results. Speakers in 2019 have included Andrea Walsh, President and Chief Executive Officer, Health Partners; Gaye Adams Massey, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA of St. Paul; and Cameron Boyd, General Counsel of the Metropolitan Airports Commission.
